i decided to replace the waterpump in my old 1998 enduro and have run into problems
when i dropped the lower leg off the motor the shift shaft stayed in the upper housing
held by corrosion .with the help of crc i removed it finding it has male splines on each end
of the stainless shaft ,, the motor seems to be in forward gear and i cant locate the shift rod
spline in the gearbox ,, i have stripped the gearbox and only have the bare prop shaft sticking out but as soon as i try to remove it with a puller i am finding it puts pressure on the main drive shaft i think the reason is that the gearbox is in forward gear ,,
at a loss at what to do,,, should i cut a hole in the housing and try to get the spline in place and then weld a patch in place if anyone can help with this problem or know where i can get a exploded view of my gear box with a double ended spline on the shift shaft it would be greatly appreciated ...BY THE WAY the waterpump was ok cheers himinshed
