This has the thermo con*****ed valve vacuum choke which opens an extra jet when cold. It startsfine, runs ok at fast idle (choke on sets to fast idle) for about a minute or two. Then major surging, as if not getting enough gas, for about 2-3 minutes, then settles down and ok, but surging may reoccur. When I restart it about an hour later, surges a little then settles down . Things I tried with no success: disconnect all hoses having to do with the choke. (also manually engage/disengage the choke). Disconnect output of fuel pump, seems to be lots of gas pumping, albeit kind of foamy. Disassemble and clean all parts of carb in ultrasonic cleaner. Any thoughts appreciated. John
