  • c150 fuel pumps

greetings all. i am trying to rebuild the low pressure fuel pumps on my 1996 c150tlru. i removed them from the motor, no problem. but i am having trouble seperating the back metal piece from the plastic middle section. there are two nuts(middle pic) that are recessed so i cant get to them. what am i missing here? they have to split somehow so the diaphrams can be replaced. any help is appreciated.

thinking P.O. may have used some kind of sealant on it... i put some force on it... maybe needs a good thumpin.. dont want to break it though.

I typically take my knife, a buck 110, and lay the blade on the mating surface and whack it with a screw driver handle.
