  • Do fuel lines have to be cg approved

I need to replace some fuel lines on my boat from the filter to the outboard, about 4 feet. Can I use fuel line from an auto store or or do I need to get marine grade fuel lines?

Also where to buy fuel line without it all set-up with bulb etc.

On a boat it really needs to be marine rated, have no idea where you are at, but there is probably several places to buy fuel line per foot, Google is a great tool.

here in the states not only USCG approved but the various grades, type A1 is the only line approved for under deck use.
however now the line must also be EPA approved,

        Rodbolt is correct.

The new EPA approved fuel lines have a " -15 " printed on them depending on the type.

A1-15 - fire resistant hose used in enclosed gasoline engine compartments and an industry standard practice for below decks.

B1-15 -- Not fire resistant but OK for out in the open areas such as from the transom well fuel fitting to the primer bulb then to the engine.

If there is not a transom well fitting, then run type A1-15 from the tank to the primer bulb inlet, then type B1-15 from the bulb to the motor.
