95 C40 Lower Unit screw rusting away

here is pic of the screws below cavitation plate. the oil fill and oil level screws are apparently made of some different type metal that doesn't rust. OB pic 2.jpg

I’ve personally never seen a screw even similar to that in the location….

Yes this is the same thing I referenced in one of my earlier replies.

I think you may want to leave well enough alone, clean up the rust and put some paint on it. Keep an eye on it for further rusting. Could be into a world of hurt trying to get that out on a 20 plus year old engine...just saying.
