2016 F90 4 stroke leaking oil

I just noticed my engine is leaking oil, removed the midsection plastic and this is what i found. Can somebody shed some light where this leak might be coming from?

Well, I'm looking a cell phone so I can't sea it that good. But If its thinned down grease from the steering tube or oil leaking from inside the cowling when tilted. The only other optain is the pwr head to holder gasket. I would spray the complete pwr head with LA Awesome spray cleaner. Compress air dry without tilting. Look for oil leak after a few hrs. If no signs of oil then tilt up and lock and go for a curve and uphill and down hill drive and inspect again

I notice the leak when the engine is running.

and doing it while running means its coming out under pressure

So likely either the bottom crankshaft seal,
or an oil pump seal.

but "off the top of my head"
I can't think of how I would narrow it down to exactly which...

by the way - exactly which model "2016 F90" is this

Any chance u can take another picture ? BTW does this motor have a pcv ?

somebody was suggesting a crack or hole in the Oil Pan, my goodness the engine is not even that old to be having those problems.
I will see if i can upload a picture.

Keith i have no idea about the pressure control valve, i am not mechanically inclined.

Tony, as noted above, the first step is to clean things up real well. Also, look HIGHER - meaning, just because it's dripping there, that doesn't mean that's where it originating. MAYBE you'll get lucky and find that the oil filter is loose. You'll just need to do some more investigative work. Good luck!

"Presumably" you've already removed the engine cowling,
and confirmed that there is not oil in, and dripping out of,
the bottom cowling aka the "pan".

But if you haven't -
then yes of course that is the first step,
to see if it is simply a leaking oil filter gasket,
or from some other point on the engine block.

It certainly is not anything to do with the "oil pan"
since that is located below where you see the oil dripping:

thank you for making it clear, well i did remove the cowling and did not see oil in there, oil filter is not loose.

Just be absolutely sure before moving on, Tony. Oil dripping from an oil filter (for example, the old gasket was stuck against the block so know there's two gaskets there) may follow a small, straight path for a while, making it hard to find. I'm not saying this "is" the issue, but just using this as an example. This is why starting "clean" and looking very, VERY closely is important. Maybe you already did that - good - just double checking. But do the same thing EVERYWHERE. It's coming from somewhere - you'll find it once you're looking closely enough.

Tony, I was asking if your motor has a PCV positive crankcase ventilation valve ? I'm sure it does have oil pressure valve and they can leak. Located usual near the filter w 1 wire

I will take another look today when i get home, i did not see any oily mess when i took off the cowling, but i will double check again.
