Hello new here thought this would be best place for some info.
Have put over 100 hours in the motor this year no problems. Over weekend my oil level gauge turned yellow to add oil. Went back in added a gallon, gauge turned green, full.
Left harbor throttled up and oil alarm went off, obviously had oil, popped cowl saw the on engine tank was on low. Added oil to it ran all day burned through that oil and the alarm went off again.
So since I added oil to the big in boat tank the engine is only pulling oil from the small tank.
When I added oil to the big tank the meter went from yellow to green meaning my float switch is working?
So then I used the emergency fill button on the engine, when you push it you can here to oil pump on the big tank kick on and it raises the level on the small tank. This would mean the oil pump is working right?
What next I'm not sure what the problem could be, maybe a sensor if they have one? Please help me get this figured out. Sorry for the long first post
