I bought a boat from my neighbor, knowing it had been poorly maintained and needing work. Part of that was addressing the well known corrosion issues in the midsection, surprisingly not all that hard. Anyhow, I have almost everything back together but can't seem to figure out where this hose connects. Have looked at schematics and all over the engine, no luck. Any suggestions? It is the cooling system tell tale/pee hose. Where does it connect to the engine?? Thank you for any help you may provide!

a hose goes from the tell-tale (the hose in the OP's photo)
to the fuel cooler.
Then another hose from the fuel cooler to the regulator/rectifier.
Then from the r/r another length
which runs around the starboard side
to the extreme aft end of the engine,
and attaches at the bottom of the crankcase.
