93' Yamaha T9.9ELHR missing locks

hi all
new-to-me 4-banger can't be locked side-to-side
and can't be locked down, which makes reverse an adventure (prop climbs out of the water)
going on a 23' sailboat

any thoughts?

re: side-to-side locking:
I know there is an optional factory plate that bolts on to the motor casing - but the thing it bolts to is busted off (see above pic)

and I'm pretty sure there is supposed to be some spring-loaded gizmo for vertical locking, that releases metal pins into the several different possible sets of holes in the crescent-shaped hinge thing pictured above - but no such spring-loaded gizmo exists on my motor - McGuyver ideas?

I don't know how it looks together either. But those are the parts in the fisch to install it. Have fun!
