just got a new stator checked ohm. way off the # put it on anyway smells like something burning motor still not fireing on all plugs help.

pull each plug wire or plug out to see what isnt sparking and have you gone thru the carbs? dirty carbs will give the illusion of bad spark.

On some of the large (V6) model outboards, Yamaha shuts down (no spark) on two of the cylinders at low rpm - not sure which ones they are. You need a Yamaha manual - can get online at www.yamahapubs.com.
