extreme engine flush

Working thru issues on a F225A an recently replaced a voltage regulator (water cooled) I am concerned about the amount of "GUNK /CRUD" in the engine. I was able clean the R/R with a little pressure, so i am hoping there is a "flush" method and chemical that will remove or dissolve this junk,,,, any ideas?
