Oil transfer excessive ?

Hi.I have a oil transfer problem I think on a 2001 50hp it seems to be mixing oil to fuel at about 30to 1. I think it should be around 50 to 1, I do a fair bit of low speed work is there any adjustment on the pump also when you increase speed it takes a bit of time to clear also at top revs it seems flutter and the engine seems to stall very briefly back off a touch and it seems okay.
could it all be linked to the oil mix,i checked the compression they are all at 100psi.Hope you can help.Thanks.

a 50 does not have oil transfer like the big motors from a hull mounted tank.

Check a service manual for that motor to see how to set oil pump linkage.


If the linkage comes loose it should go full on, so make sure it is attached and set properly

Thanks.I will have a look at the weekend the engine has a 1.1/2 ltr oil tank on the side of the engine block.
