Hatch broken off of cowling

I have a 2010 175HPDI

While going through some rough chop on friday, the forward latch on my cowling broke loose.
PN 68F-42647-01-00

See pictures below. I know that i will need to replace the part as it was damaged, How can i re-attach? Will a fiberglass patch adhere to the cowling? or should i fab up a bracket and rivet it to the cowling?

I'd get a new latch and re-attach that stud with some epoxy...Looks like you can layer/heavy up the epoxy to give it strength in and around the area of that stud boss....good idea to research for the best epoxy/JB Weld/ whatever to adhere to that plastic/fiberglass cowling....looks like an interesting project...good luck!
