temp buzzer

I have a 2003 Yamaha 90 outboard. Runs like a champ. No issues. We installed the Doel Fin Hydrofoils to the lower unit this last weekend. What a change on how the boat responded. We then started to experience an overheating problem with the buzzer going off. The motor was hot to the touch and the head was hot. I let it cool down we ran it for awhile and the buzzer went off again. It happened twice on the lake.The pisser seemed to be sending out a steady stream. I am stumped is it the hydrofoil.
