Hello fellow forum members,
I'm pulling my hair out with my starboard 200 HPDI. No spark on #5 and #6 at idle, but have spark on 5 and 6 in gear. This according to YDS. The only systemic change I've made is I replaced the Yamaha 704 controls with newer 704 controls. I don't think this could have any effect on cylinders not firing, but I'm no expert.
What I've done so far:
Compression test - 105 -110 across all cylinders (cold)
New Plugs
Swapped coils from Port to Starboard engine
Replaced shift position switch (did this before I had access to YDS) (I know 2 and 3 don't fire in idle.)
Noticed on YDS that the TPS was at 1.14 volts at idle. Is this due to the absence of spark on 5 and 6 and will come back into the correct range once 5 and 6 are firing again, or does this need adjustment now? What could cause 5 and 6 not to fire other than spark plugs, wires, coils? What should I look at next?
