  • Cl fuel gauge

Hi first time post so hope I am clear with my question. My boat is presently equipped with cl gauge 6y8-83500-20-00 and an analog gauge for fuel. I would like to have both work. Cl gauge wires are spliced on to analog wires for the feed. Cl gauge works but analog does not. If I unplug wires from cl gauge analog gauge works. Any way to make both work?
    Thanks for any help.

I don't know of a way for one fuel quantity sender to drive two gauges at the same time.

Unless your tank has provisions for adding a second sender I don't think you can accomplish your objective.

An option however would be to have the sender wire go to the common terminal of a single pole double throw switch. From the other terminals a wire would go to the respective gauges. In one position the sender would drive the Command Link instrument and in the other position it would drive the analog gauge.

It will be highly unlikely IMO for both gauges to indicate the exact fuel quantity indication when either is selected. This will irritate some users.
