command link both sides not showing data

hello
pair of 150 yamahas.
two command links and fuel display.
the two rpm/speed displays only show horizontal line.
I can bring up with long press a scrolling single number 1 through 5.
thats it.
suddenly happened
I will look at purple and black wires and confirm 12v but given that I get some sign of life (power) that its not power...
any help??

Horizontal line indicates gauge has power but no data is being received. Check all connections to the network.
