Have 86 Yamaha 150 and suddenly loss about 40% of power. Still ran and started without missing out but with power loss. Check fuel filters and all OK. Any suggestions where to look.

check -compression,spark by pulling each plug wire while running and listen for the sound change,fuel filters and bowls for contaminated fuel.if possible, run motor at night with cowl off to see if you have any spark loss via arcing.
