how to replace fuel filter?

i have a 04 250 and i'm trying to figure out how to change the hpdi filter on the top of the motor. it has some type of quick disconnect on one end of the filter. i cant figure out how it works. any advice or pictures would be great. Thanks, Gerald

its actually fairly simple.
look closely and you will see a small black ring protruding from the chome plated fitting.

while pushing the fitting towards the filter use needle nose pliers to push the black plastic flush with the fitting.

hold pressure on the plastic and slide it off.
