Good afternoon,
I have a 2003 F200TXRB that I purchased approximately 2 months ago with about 638 hrs on it. The engine runs and sounds great at speed; however at lower rpms it sometimes stalls, or tries to. Usually my son can pump the primer ball and it will come to life, so I seems to be a fuel supply issue to me. It will also do it after it has warmed up when I first apply power at or near full power as I attempt to get on plane. Unfortunately, or fortunately (how every you want to look at it) it only does it once in a while. It will stay running if the primer is pumped, and will stall if we can't get to it fast enough.
Can someone point me in the right direction? I see Yamaha fuel pump assemblies are priced wildly at almost $600 so I hope it's not that...
Thank you in advance.
