I purchased this motor from someone that didn't have the time to diagnose and fix it. He told me the motor wouldn’t rev beyond 2000rpm. It would kick in and out and just shut off. And it would idle like crap. he had the motor when it was running good and it kept getting worse and worse which lead him to believe it’s a reed valve ??? I haven't had a chance to get into it but I did find this odd texture on the ECU. I've attached a picture, is normal? do you think something got fried?
