There is a 2010 Yamaha 20hp outboard for sale and it is listed as an extra long shaft. The owner says it is 24" from the bottom of the transom bracket (where the bottom of the bracket sits on the top of the transom) to the cavitation plate. I have never heard of this and believe he must be measuring wrong. He says he bought it that way and did not add a shaft extension. Was there such a 20hp shaft length made? I do need an extra long shaft and would add a shaft extension if I bought a regular long shaft.
