  • OX66 Base Gasket

If a base gasket is leaking is it possible for cylinders to ingest water thru the exhaust ports some how ?

I seem to be getting a bit of water into #2 and #4 cylinders.

Took head off but didnt see any signs there that were obvious.

    Thanks

As both cylinders are adjacent to each other, I'd look real close at the head for hairline cracks 'corrosion and the head gasket.

Did you happen to do a leak down test before the heads coming off (at least for cylinders 2 & 4)?

No I didn't do leak down.

Head is warped a bit but only seen one spot at 12 o'clock on. #2 cylinder that possibly could of been leaking. Not saying gasket isn't leaking it just isn't obvious.

Both cylinders look like their being washed slightly and plugs wont tan up they look brand new after a run and still fire.

      No corrosion at all anywhere.

        Tks.

From what I've read here, the 0X66 had some exhaust corrosion issues. I don't know specifically what they were or the results...

Do a search or wait for someone to chime in. It seemed to be a pretty common issue..

        Good luck..
