Buying. 1997 ELRV good motors?

Hi. New to boating. Never owned a Yamaha. Looking at a 30 HP ‘97 ELRV and controls today. The owner has shown photos with even 140-ish psi across all 3 cylinders and will show it working. Any hints on what to check? Are they good motors?

Hi Andy. I'll answer it this way... it's a quarter century old. If it runs well... it's good. By now, it's probably proved itself.

taking a sellers word without seeing it yourself is always a concern.
as would be not being able to run the motor at all RPMs under normal loads to make sure it runs well and does not overheat
