2008 9.9 two stroke, float chamber gasket

I am rebuilding the carb with the kit. The above gasket is round bubber, fits in a narrow grove. should I use any type of sealant? I have thought of using Neosporin, which is a very light grease, or use nothing and hope it doesn't leak.

The kit should have that seal,"O"ring,gasket..if you going to use the old oring a bit of light oil works well...Myself have to...no matter the shipping time or what ever want a new seal installed !!

not sure if a medicine made for humans would be the right product to use there.
Service manual should tell you what to use if anything.
You do not want something to react badly with the o ring and degrade it
