I have a chirping in my Yamaha 150 four stroke for the first 5 min. after starting. After running for a short time, the chirping goes away. I have sprayed the timing belt and bearings. The noise seems to be internal.
Is this something that ring free would help?

Whens the last time the main, verticle drive shaft was lubed with waterproof Yamaha grease in the mid section(where the bushing is and the shaft rides inside of)?

Mine would "chip" at about 1,700 RPM when I didn't use the Yamaha grease(marine wheel bearing grease does NOT cut it). At idle it was fine but yours could be very dry
