Folks the attached file is on my 2006 Yamaha HPDI. And yes before asked the hours is correct, there are only 9 hrs.

The only thing which concerns me is the electric oil pump. It's result reads as "low" but I don't know if that is normal at idle and running on 4 of 6 cylinders.

I'm wanting to put this boat in the water and would like some opinions if it is ready. This motor sat for a long time. I have replaced the water pump impeller, the lift pumps, the electric fuel pump and filter, the fuel regulator, medium pressure fuel filter canister. I also dumped the fuel tank and fresh filled with non ethanol gas.

Thanks for the inputs in advance.

    dude
    keep reading about HPDI.
that oil pump ONLY runs at high speeds.

it mixs at about 1500/1 ratio to help lube the HP pump and injectors.

at idle on the flusher its off.
    1500/1 is NOT a typo.

Thank you, Rod. I'm trying to learn. I am noticing the idle was a little high to. I assume thats because there is no back pressure on the motor of sitting in the water, no? Prop was spinning to pretty good, even though in nuetral. I assume thats the exhaust windmilling that prop at a high idle.

Thank you for your useless a$$ opinion.

I'm not *****ing or something here. I do in fact have 9 hrs on this motor. I had major health issues after purchasing this boat and it sat, and sat, and sat. If you don't have anything to offer then it would be appreciated if you just didn't opine.

and here we go again. with no freaking model number all we know is it uses high pressure direct injection.
however there were two MAJOR design changes.
          depends on the CC displacement.
why cant we ever get a freaking model number????

The original post stated it is a 2006 Yamaha 250 HPDI. Not sure what else you you mean as far as a model #

              never made a 2006 250HPDI.
they did make a vz250 as well as a z250 and an lz250 hpdi in the 2006 range production.
see why we need model numbers???????

Yamaha dropped year models after the 2005 production run.

after sitting that long I would replace the water pump, replace the lift pumps, clean the VST and replace the medium pressure filter BEFORE trying anything else.
then I would drain and clean the oil tanks, note the word tank is plural.

Its a 2006 vz250. I had it out today, it ran a great. Strong and fast hole shot. I'm pleased with my repair work. One question though. The water pressure gauge was pegging out at 30 psi. I believe the gauge is out of cal though. It's stuck on 7 psi with motor off. The weep hole had a good stream and it didn't overheat, so I consider all is well with the new impeller.

I did do all those replacements as you recommended. Had it out for testing today. All is good.

all Yamaha gives is minimum specs for water pressure.
sounds like either your line is kinked or the gauge is bad.

the VZ tells me its a V max bass boat HPDI that has a bit different mapping and operation than a Z250.
