  • Y-Cop Install for 2014 F300A

    Hi Guys,
I am looking to install the Y-Cop on my 2014 Yahama F300A and have the Receiver Box, two transmitters, and a patch wire, but the one page of directions is clear as mud and shows two extra patch wires. I cannot find any on-line manual or install instructions. Does anyone have anything or have done it with this engine? Thanks.

Thanks, that was fast. I have not taken the cowl off yet, but are those two "hubs" displayed in the diagram in the engine cowl and if so are they pretty obvious? Thank you very much.

No, the hubs are not under the engine cowling. They will be under the dash somewhere. The hubs also provide power and data to whatever Command Link gauges you may have installed.

Ok, so I don't even need to go into the engine cowl? The box just mounts near those hubs located somewhere near the digital gauges around the dash? Thank you again, as there is very little information on this and I am in a pretty remote part of the Bahamas.

Adding an extra remote (aka transmitter)

Okay ... I am new to this forum.

                Here is my issue:

I have a Y-Cop installed in my outboard.
I have decided to add an extra transmitter (remote).
I purchased the remote from Boats.net, but the remote came with no instructions.
My boat is in the outer islands of the Bahamas, and I need instruction on how to add a remote to an already installed Y-Cop.
I still have the 2 original remotes, which work perfectly.

                Thanks!

                Mario

Don't ride on an old post that someone else started.

Start your own new post. In that post provide the complete model of your motor.

                  Thanks.

just tell him how to program another remote. A complete model name and number is not needed in this case.

Trying to get folks into the habit of telling us their model. I know that it is not needed in this case.
