Oil injection pump

Can I verify proper operation of the pump off the motor by spinning the shaft? What results should I look for?

Sorry left out what motor, 50 ejrq and I want to make sure oil injection pump is working properly before rebuild of the motor, also want to see if the check valves are functioning. Cleaned and lightly blew them out today, seemed to work correctly with air, but really didn't have the flow I would have though through them, they all where the same with flow.

oil volume is based on shaft RPM and pump arm angle.
no bench tests avalible.
