A few weeks ago, I bought a pontoon with a C40PLRU 40HP 2 Stroke. It ran like a top for a few weeks, I was running on the full fuel tanks that came with it. I ran out of gas, swapped tanks and still ran fine. Being near the end of the season, I filled the empty tank 50:1 with 89 pure gasoline. I switched tanks the following week, and it was cool outside, and the lake temps dropped 10 degrees. Not long after pushing it to full throttle, it started skipping a bit. Just a brief "off" if you will, and it's random. The water separator\filter was clean with no water of dirt. I did a full throttle shut down, and both plugs were light brown, and looked great. No signs of lean or fouling. I Returned to the original fuel, and it has the same issue. One note is that it seems to skip or stumble less after running full throttle for a while. Has anyone had this type of experience?
