F2.5AMH oil seals

Hy guys, I'm replacing the oil seals of my F2.5, but I have a problem: I don't know the correct direction of new seals.

I found in service manuals the follow images:

Oil seal under the impeller:



... and, for the same seal ...



Oil seals near the propeller:



... and ...



Images shows opposite direction for every oil seal.

What is the correct way?

for some reason the springs on a Yamaha lower face out.
the rest of the world faced one in and the last out.
Yamaha has faced both springs out since the eighties that I know of.

Oft times the parts catalog can be more helpful than a service manual, particularly if a non-Yam SM is being used.

Yams modus operandi seems they want to ensure no water can get in, even at the expense of a slight loss of gear oil.
