1985 220 no spark

Hello fellas new here

Anybody have/had one these old girls ,picked it up yesterday on a boat and has great compression but no spark .

looking around parts are getting far and few between.

Any help greatly appreciated up here in Northern Ontario

Is that a v6 (225)?
If you have no spark on all 6 you can bet it will be costly (if parts available). If the engine looks clean and wiring connections look good, you probably need to get under the flywheel and look at (test) pulsar coils, or, your CDI is faulty.
Did you buy it as running?

CK with CDI ignition in USA. better than jap crap and much better prices.

yep, CDI electronics makes after market CDI ignition parts,
and they should have a good troubleshooting guide also on their web site

anyone know where I could find the outputs for the correct Ohms to be looking for ?

check with CDI , maybe they will list an old 220 motor spec's
I never heard of a 220hp, but that does not mean much

I kid you not. I have been called to harbor many times for a no-Start.. lanyard safety switch " key" unplugged. Too many times to count.. LOL.
You WILL forget the drain plug. ONCE !!
