Hi,
Couple of weeks ago I bought a 2006 F115 with 584 hours on the meter. Today was the first time I took it for a ride on the boat. I have started it attached to a garden hose before just to test it and it was running fine.
Started up OK and after warming up we went for a short ride. Ran like a charm, but when we were back at the dock the engine kept changing the idle between 700 rpm to 1200 rpm. Sort of up-down-up-down. Was doing like that for several minutes until I turned it off. Back home I hooked it up to the garded hose again and the idle was the normal 700 rpm, without going up or down.
Any ideas what might cause a behavior like that?
Should mention that no fault codes are set and I emptied the engine fuel filter and when starting the engine the filter was filled up nice and easy. New gasoline in a new tank, with new hoses.
