I have a dual engine 704 binnacle and the up position on the starboard switch no longer works. Down position works on starboard and port switch is fully functional. The suspect switch does not make a sound when pressed. My engines trim at slightly different speeds when using the throttle switch, so I use the individual switches frequently when running off shore. Since the dual trim/tilt switch on the port throttle works, I think the problem is the starboard switch. Is there anything I can do to get the starboard down switch to work like spraying the contact with corrosion block or will the switches need to be replaced? Looking at the parts diagram, the part includes port and starboard switches. Is this somehiting somebody like me with very basic skills can do or a job for a pro?
