yamaha ef2400is,over reving at start.

hi,i have a problem with generator reving flat out at start,if i manually push throttle back to idle it will stay, but if stopped and restarted again it runs flat out,has anybody had this problem.

that do'nt sound like an outboard motor to me.

Your on an outboard engine forum, not a generator forum..

Check your throttle linkages, governor and make sure all moving parts
(associated with the govenor), throttle plate as well, are well lubicated and clean.

I couldn't find any parts fisch on the linkages, just the carb
