Did you get to do some fishing while down there?

I did. I went fishing out of Golfito and caught five beautiful looking snappers of some kind. Had several more on the line but they got off. We caught our live bait using Sabiki rigs and hell that was fun as well. Get six sardines on at one time and there is a good pull on the line. The brother of the man that runs the Yamaha dealership there took me and my brother out for four hours for a really good price. Nice boat with twin F115's.

Met an Expat in Sierpe and he took me out on anther day. The Sierpe river empties into the Pacific. Crossing the river bar into the ocean was a trip. Swells were four to five so it took some great timing to transition from the river to the ocean and vice versa. You have to time the breaking waves going in and out as getting the boat into white water can be hazardous. I understand three or so boats a year get flipped over. Caught about 10 small tuna. Wanted a wahoo but no joy.
