Rod, If I'm not wrong guess I've read on a previous post you prefer a analog/needle DVA, any diference from a digital?

    Any thoughts?

Doubtful. Wipe it off and it should dissipate - remember, WD40 isn't really all that good at "sticking around", anyways. You could spray a little Brakleen to clean it up. Use the non-chlorinated stuff (green can) just to be safe.

I use a CD-77 if hunting for intermittent issues.
the digital buffers to slowly to catch most intermittent.
for testing a stator lighting coil a digital will work just fine.

          Right, know what you mean...

I have a CDI 511-9773 and Blue Point MT586B10 even so one more than I need as I'm not in the business.

So one of the above will be just fine.

          Thanks!

            Hi!

            Just to keep you posted...

Unfortunately just now I had time to have my KL16 out of my basement/garage (much later than last years/desired)

After clean the stator (something that had to be done) the problem of slow battery charging persisted so I didnīt even test the R/R and swapped by a spair I had in case of failure (being this a common fault on this model)

            Guess what!?

            Problem solved!

            Thanks guys
