1989 90 ETLF, running fine, but as I increase the power, the throttle handle locks at 3/4 speed. The unlock bar on the throttle handle must be depressed to move the throttle back. Searching the forum, I found a similar post, 6-18-2013, suggesting it could be a worn spacer, but did not say definite. Any Ideas? I am planning on taking the 703 con*****er apart in a couple of days in search of the problem.

Hit it right on Rodbolt17!
That was it Rodbolt17.
The plastic semi-circle locking device was broken, causing the throttle
to "lock" when it reached the broken part.
Thanks,
