This item will simply not slip in...the bracket hits the hydraulic motor on one side (about a 1/4 inch) and on the other side (resivour) by about the same amount. I tried for about three calm hours to fit the operational unit and the unit that non operational unit (this one has the hydraulic motor removed. I kinda squeeze it in on an angle...it has about a 16th of an inch barring it to get into the bracket. So, for you guys who simply "slip it in"...i am guessing the brackets are spaced wider?

if it came out it has to go back in.
Unless it grew while it was out or the other parts shrank, and I do not think that is possible.
Maybe you have the wrong unit.

It's kind of like a Chinese puzzle. If you don't remember the exact movements that were used to get it out it is difficult to figure out how to get back in. When I did mine I did have to loosen the tilt tube nuts and spread the brackets apart some.
