Engine under water

I was thinking of buying a boat with twin yamaha engines that went under salt water for a few hours what am I dealing with as far as the engines. Owner said he drained them and filled them with oil but what about the electronics etc. What am I looking at $$$ balpark to get them o.k. when does it become not cost effective? thanks newbie...

I doubt they'll ever be 100% reliable....best to find some others that haven't been dunked in saltwater...

If they went under running they are probably shagged.
