I would like to add water temp, water pressure and cylinder head temp gauges to my 1996 C150TLRU. I believe the cyl. Head temp sender goes on top of starboard side water jacket. Water pressure sender goes on top of port side jacket. Am i correct? Is there anywhere left for water temp sender? Thanx for the help.

Yamaha water pressure and water temperature sensors are installed into fittings in the top of each cylinder head. See diagram below.
Yamaha does not offer an add-on cylinder head temperature sensor that I am aware of. The cylinder head temperature sensors that I am familiar with (aviation) are installed under each spark plug.

while i'm at it... i will need two of these bushings to mount the sending units. the only ones I can find run $45.00 a piece. sounds a little high, like twice as much as the gauges themselves cost... any idea where I can find them a little bit cheaper than $45.00? each.Last edited by rcsupercat; 01-23-2015, 02:19 AM.

Not sure where you are getting your price from. Here is a fitting from Yamaha for an aftermarket water pressure gauge that is but 13bucks.

I have installed a Teleflex sender to the head of my Mercury motor. It was used to indirectly measure water temperature, since there was no port into which a fitting could be screwed. Measuring the water temperature directly is a better deal IMO.
