F350 Tilt Partially going up

My F350 tilt goes down all the way but partially goers up. When I press the up switch the engine trims up for 6 second and stops dead
No sound from motor. I can fully go up if i remove the blue wire from the relay and touch the red terminal. I tried a new relay got the same reluts

Interesting.
the F350 has an electronic tilt limit function,
which is set using YDIS software.
but I wouldn't expect the ECM to 'mess up' that setting,

and if the output from the trim position sensor is wacky,
the tilt limit is supposed to be deactivated.
Still, I think I would be looking at the position sensor.

Thanks for the reply, is the position sensor part of the trim sender, if not where is it located and how can i test it

I disconnected the harness for the position sensor and my motor now trims an tilts fully and the engine starts and runs
I checked the resistance of the sensor down and up it read 368 ohms for both up and down.(specifications says zero down 368 up)

would you replace the sensor at this point ?

I do not have extensive familiarity with the F350,
so I may be missing information:
I have not seen that 0-368 spec.

But yes, in general, I would expect expect to see resistance vary as the arm is moved.
And I already indicated, IMO, the sender was 'suspect'.

You have three wires to the sensor, yes?
black, pink and orange?
between which wires is the resistance measured for that 0-368 value?
