OIl flashing on hour meter - 200HP Outboard on NauticStar 223DC

Hello and thanks for entertaining my first post. My subject pretty much describes my problem. On my 2014 NauticStar223DC with a 200HP OB, the word OIL and the hours are flashing alternately on the hour meter. I just had it in the shop for a starter replacement. I have no audible alarms, just the flashing word, OIL.

Any ideas are appreciated!...

since we have no idea what motor you have,
maybe it is a 4 stroke and it is time to change the oil

I am not aware of any hour meter (Yamaha or otherwise) that would be displaying the word "oil" on it.
