08 F9.9FELR owner with a kill switch question

I've got a tiller F9.9 with electric start. Killing the motor by pulling and replacing the lanyard key is getting old fast. Wasn't there a time when outboard motors had switches you could press to kill and hadthad lanyard safety? Am I just making this up?

Is it possible to wire in a key off-on-start switch the the tiller?

Just push the button to shut off...no need to pull the lanyard.

yep some of the old motors had a push button to start and another to kill the motor
