Hello group. iam looking for a 2001 Yamaha f225 txra crankcase. pin hole in the bottom of the water jacket on mine,

might need to have it welded up if it is not available

Sure.. As long as corroded aluminum is cleaned up... Might need to make an aluminum "small plug" if the hole gets to be too big..

I have had my C40 block welded up around the stat area some years ago.

you need to find the right person with the proper welding machine to do the welding.
a high frequency machine is needed from what I was told

Just an FYI, I had an old Merc(bout a 90 HP) with issues. I found a hole rotted thru the water jacket in the head, DIRECT TO THE COMBUSTION CHAMBER.(much more heat than a water jacket alone).

That engine did not have a removable head as I re-call. Cleaned/ then trimmed up maybe 1/2" piece of aluminum and had it TIG welded in.. Worked great, got another hull and sold it..
