Try this: https://lmgtfy.com/?q=how+to+deciphe...+serial+number
Now, what I don't know is why the last letter is missing... maybe this is a motor from outside the US and it's different? I'm sure someone else can help.Last edited by DennisG01; 04-30-2020, 07:58 PM.2000 Yamaha OX66 250HP SX250TXRY 61AX103847T

I found one link that says the single letter at the bottom right stands for the year date, which mine is a “G”. But I can’t find anything else backing that up. Here is that link

Did you not find the sticker on the other side that states the month and year of manufacture?

Lance, I brought it up above, but you didn't clarify if this engine is from outside the US. The link you noted talks about Asian Yamahas. I don't anything more than that - am just looking at what you provided. BUT, did you also notice, according to your link, what year your engine would then be? Doesn't make sense.
Also, what about Boscoe's statement of looking for the tag on the other side?
For help, we need to have two-way communication.2000 Yamaha OX66 250HP SX250TXRY 61AX103847T
