Good Day all,
I purchased a pair of V6 4.2 L Offshores (2013 Model) last year. At the end of this summer I noticed that when I hit the tilt/trim switch on the console (this was when I am about to take the boat off the moorings for the begining of the day) the two motors would tilt down until the starboard motor hit the trim and would not move any further. When I put the motors into gear, then the starboard motor would go the rest of the way in. I then noticed that the next time I used the boat, the port motor would do this. The boat stays on a swing mooring for the season. As the motors are still under warranty, I spoke to the dealer and was told that this is a problem with these motors as over time the plastic guides that allow the engines to trim in, get fouled and will not trim in until cleaned.
My question to the group is does anyone else hear of this issue and does it make sense?
Many Thanks,
Richard
