I currently have two (2) 225 hp 4 stroke Yamaha outboards that are con*****ed by cables running to a single top mount dual con*****er in the pilot house.
I want to build a fly bridge and create another steering and control station. The steering station is easy, simply installing some Ts in the hydraulic lines and another helm / pump. However, the cable controls to the engine transmission shifter and the throttle control are a different story. Is there something on the market made by Yamaha (or something generic) that would allow me to add another engine control station to the flybridge? How does this type of set up work?
