Boost HP

Is it possible to boost my HP by putting a carburetor off of a 6HP Yamaha on a 4HP motor. The parts appear to be the same. Or is there a way to do this? Having problems with it not wanting to idle so thought I might make some changes since I have to work on it anyway.
