Recently ordered part no. 703-82510-11 . The switch has 5 wires. The current switch in the remote control box has six. The six wire is blue. Will the replacement part ordered work? Or is there a switch available with the sixth wire, which is blue.

Dark blue is for the choke activation circuit.
I presume there is a sky blue wire that is part of the switch assembly that you have. It will connect to a corresponding coloured wire that will activate the UP trim system in your model.
Your model does not use a choke. It has a prime start automatic fuel enrichment device.
I can think of no reason why the switch that you have will not function just fine with your particular model of motor. Now if you had a Yamaha that uses an electric choke it would not be the correct switch of course.
Please don't tell us that you have been pressing the key in to facilitate a cold start in the morning.
